The Tandem T Foundation
Investing in People. Strengthening Communities.
Hope begins with partnership. A registered Florida non-profit supporting mothers and children rebuilding after domestic violence, and justice-involved youth seeking a second chance.
Our Four Core Answers
Everything we do, answered in four questions.
01
Who Do We Serve?
Mothers and children rebuilding after domestic violence, and justice-involved youth and their families seeking a second chance.
02
What Do We Believe?
Every person has value. Every story matters. Every future deserves hope.
03
What Do We Provide?
Practical support and pathways to opportunity. Practical support addresses immediate needs. Pathways to opportunity help individuals and families move toward stability, independence, and a stronger future.
04
Why Do We Exist?
Because our founders understand what it means for a family to need a new beginning or a second chance. Our mission grew from lived family experiences that shaped one shared belief: a difficult chapter should never have to become the end of someone’s story.
Our Mission
Tandem T Foundation strengthens families by providing practical support and pathways to opportunity for mothers and children rebuilding after domestic violence and justice-involved youth and their families working toward a second chance.
Our Vision
A future where every person has the support, opportunity, and hope to move beyond life’s hardest chapters and build a stronger future.
Our Purpose
To turn new beginnings and second chances into futures worth building — one family at a time.
The Heart of Our Foundation
We believe every person has value.
Every story matters. Every future deserves hope, opportunity, and the chance for a new beginning.
How We Show Up
Three practices. One family.
01
Dignity Before Assistance
Every interaction begins with the person, not the paperwork. We meet mothers, youth, and families with respect before we hand them anything.
02
Presence Before Promises
We show up. We stay. We choose to walk alongside families through the long chapter — not just the first day of it.
03
Family Before Paperwork
Family isn't defined by blood — it's defined by who shows up and stays. Every mother, every child, every young person we walk beside becomes part of the Tandem T family, and stays part of ours long after the paperwork is done.
Because once our paths cross, you are never walking alone — you are family for life, and family sticks together through everything.
The Lives We Hope to Impact
Every life we touch is a story worth honoring.
01
Mothers & Children Beginning Again
Standing beside mothers and children rebuilding after domestic violence as they move toward safety, stability, hope, and a new beginning.
02
Young People Seeking a Second Chance
Standing beside justice-involved youth and their families with mentorship, opportunity, accountability, and pathways toward a productive future.
Why Our Work Is Personal
A Foundation Built From Experience.
Our missions weren’t chosen from a list. They grew from experiences within our own family.
Founder & President Chrissy Thompson understands what it means to rebuild life with children after domestic violence and search for a new beginning.
Co-Founder & Vice President Rohan Taylor understands what it means to stand beside a child and family navigating the justice system and continue believing in the possibility of a second chance.
Those experiences shaped the heart of Tandem T Foundation.
No family should have to navigate its hardest chapter alone.
A difficult chapter should never be the end of someone’s story.
Our experiences explain why the Foundation exists. The people we serve remain the focus of everything we do.
Our Core Promise
We meet difficult chapters with practical support, meaningful partnerships, and pathways forward.
For a mother and her children
that may mean a new beginning.
For a young person and their family
that may mean a second chance.
For both
it means knowing that someone still believes in what comes next.
Our Measure of Success
Measured not in numbers — but in lives changed.
01
One Partnership at a Time.
02
One Person at a Time.
03
One Home at a Time.
04
One New Beginning at a Time.
Our Focus
Two Missions. One Purpose.
Helping people find the courage, resources, and opportunity to begin again.

Second Chance Program
01 · New Beginning Bags
New Beginning Bags provide thoughtfully prepared essentials and comfort items for mothers and children entering or transitioning from domestic violence shelters.
The message inside every bag
You matter.
You are not alone.
Your new beginning is possible.
02 · Our Belief
A young person’s hardest chapter should not determine the rest of their story.
Second chances should come with support, structure, accountability, and genuine opportunities to build a different future.
Different journeys. Same belief.
Your past does not have to determine your future.

What We Provide
Practical Support + Pathways to Opportunity.
Two categories of care that support both of our missions — giving us room to grow without stretching thin. These are the tools we use to serve mothers, children, and justice-involved youth as they walk toward safety, stability, and a stronger future.
Practical Support
Meeting immediate needs.
Essential supplies, personal-care items, food assistance, transportation assistance, family resources, referrals, emergency needs, and direct support aligned with our two mission populations.
Pathways to Opportunity
Building a stronger future.
Mentorship, education, workforce preparation, career readiness, employment connections, life-skills development, reentry support, community resources, and partnerships that help individuals and families move forward.
Housing, food, transportation, employment, and community outreach aren’t separate missions — they are tools we use to fulfill our two: New Beginnings and Second Chances.
How You Can Help
We don’t wait for communities to come to us — we come to them.
Because hope shouldn’t depend on where you live. It should begin wherever partnership begins.
The Tandem T Foundation opens the door to community partners across every dimension of support — from capital and property, to hands, hours, and expertise. Every gift, every hour, every doorway opened builds the infrastructure of hope.

Financial Support
One-time or recurring gifts that directly fund program delivery.

Partner with us to make an impact.
We cannot do this work alone. Whether you are a corporate sponsor, a local shelter looking to collaborate, or a neighbor ready to volunteer your time — your support helps us expand our reach and change lives.
Give to the Foundation
Somewhere tonight, a mother is packing what fits in one bag.
A young man is one mentor away from believing his story isn’t over. Your gift is that bag. Your gift is that mentor.
Right now, The Tandem T Foundation is placing New Beginning Bags into the hands of mothers and children walking away from domestic violence — and standing beside justice-involved youth choosing a second chance. Both are walking toward a new beginning. Hope begins with partnership — let it begin with you.

The Next Generation of Tandem T
We aren’t building a Foundation for the next generation. We’re building it with them.
At Tandem T Foundation, we believe young people shouldn’t have to wait until adulthood to learn the value of service, leadership, compassion, and community.
Our Youth Advisory Board gives the next generation a seat at the table — encouraging them to share their voices, develop leadership skills, serve their communities, and help shape initiatives that impact young people and families.
